During my recent stay at Blackwater Hostel in Kinlochleven, I was pleasantly surprised by how well-equipped the place was for our family. The shared community kitchen was a delight; with fridges and appliances galore, we found ourselves effortlessly whipping up dinner and sharing laughs with fellow travellers over leftover cake from a baking contest. The bunk beds provided some of the comfiest sleeps I've had after a long day's hiking along the West Highland Way. The location couldn’t be beat! Nestled at the heart of Lochaber, it serves as an ideal stopoff for anyone traveling the scenic NC500 route or simply soaking in the Highland vibes. Plus, with a kind receptionist and facilities that included a drying room for our wet gear, it felt like a home away from home. I definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a cozy, budget-friendly alternative to camping – just pack your sense of adventure!
